Green The Block Charlotte – Eastland Mall
Created by the Hip Hop Caucus and Green For All, Green The Block is a national campaign and coalition aimed at helping low-income communities of color become driving forces of the clean-energy economy. Day one of this weekend series of community events in Charlotte will feature a rally with the Rev. Lennox Yearwood of the Hip Hop Caucus, singer D. Woods, rapper Lupe Fiasco, and other special invited guests. The event will also feature a street soccer tournament and a green job information fair. Fab 5 Fridays
It’s a new after-work social networking event (last week’s was held at On the Roxx) and it’s taking place at one of Uptown’s coolest lounges. Enjoy a free food buffet and drink specials. NFL Carwash Fundraiser

Green The Block Charlotte – Belmont Neighborhood
Day two of this weekend series of community events in Charlotte will feature a green job information fair, an in-home weatherization project, healthy food cooking demonstrations, community gardening, volunteer opportunities, and more. Charlotte Bobcats vs. Orlando Magic
Down 2-0 in the series, the Bobcats try to rebound against the Magic in their first-ever home playoff game. Game is sold out, but you can most likely buy tickets from scalpers outside of Time Warner Cable Arena. Lelia Broussard and Bess Rogers Spring Tour

It’s been a year since Charlotte joined the list of cities offering PlayDate.
