I've enjoyed watching the first four episodes of Fantasia Barrino's VH1 reality show, Fantasia For Real. I watch it largely to see what scenes in Charlotte they show, but I have to admit that Teeny's antics are hilarious ("You getting on my nerves man!"). If you've been watching, then you've also witnessed Fantasia's battle to find a first single for her upcoming album. Well, she's found it. Today, she released "Even Angels."

I've played the song a few times today, and I liked it after the first listen. It finds Fantasia in her usual storytelling mode, but she uses her voice a lot lighter than she typically does. It's a softer song--and it works. Click here to buy "Even Angels" from iTunes.

You might also get to see Fantasia perform it when she appears on The Oprah Winfrey Show tomorrow (Feb. 3) in an episode titled "Stars of Reality TV: Fantasia's Comeback and Ruby's Revelations." The episode has already been taped so it's confirmed that Fantasia performs, but I'm not sure what song. She also has to face up to boss lady Oprah, who asks her why she missed so many shows during her first run with The Color Purple musical.

Listen to "Even Angels" below.
