Jay-Z's Here Tomorrow

If you've been "Jockin' Jay-Z," you'll have the opportunity to do it in person tomorrow. The Jigga Man aka Shawn Carter is coming to Charlotte for The Last Chance for Change Rally in support of Barack Obama.

I've said before that I didn't go to presidential election rallies because they seemed too much like fans at a concert. Well, now I have a reason to go because I'm a Jay-Z fan (I saw him in concert in Greensboro earlier this year).

No word on whether Jay-Z will perform, but it should be cool just to see the greatest rapper of all time (who's married to the hottest chick in the game). The event is free and doors open at 11:15 a.m. The rally will be held at the Phillip O. Berry Academy, 1430 Alleghany St.

Also, for a chance to meet Jay-Z, text NCJAYZ to 62262.

Living in a presidential election battleground state sure does have its perks. The Beastie Boys and Sheryl Crow were here Monday. Usher was here Tuesday. The Hip Hop Caucus brought artists yesterday. All efforts to encourage people to get out and vote. We haven't had this many celebrities come through Charlotte since CIAA Week.
